This photo captures a vital moment for survival: the daily feeding of street cats. For these animals, food is not just a meal; it represents safety, routine, and often their only chance to stay alive long enough to heal.

Zeynep has been rescuing animals in Türkiye for 23 years, focusing mainly on treating, feeding, and neutering street animals in her local area. She regularly visits several feeding spots, and whenever she has enough supplies, she even drives out to the forest to care for the animals living there.

Zeynep’s support extends beyond the vicinity of Kuşadası and İzmir. Whenever possible, she assists animals in need throughout Türkiye, wherever help is most urgently required.

In her own neighbourhood, Zeynep voluntarily cares for more than 20 cats, ensuring they receive regular food as well as parasite prevention and treatment. Any new, unneutered cat she encounters is added to her list to be spayed or neutered as soon as she is able.

What may seem like a simple moment in a photo is, in reality, a daily commitment, an unwavering decision not to look away. Zeynep’s work requires constant effort, organisation, and responsibility, demonstrating the profound impact one person can make when compassion becomes a mission.
