Hope for Mabel
I’ve known the project leader, Seydanur, since my early days of organising private donation campaigns. Back then, she dedicated herself to helping a cat named Ozzy through a challenging FIP treatment with remarkable commitment and compassion.
Seydanur is based in Bursa and regularly rescues animals from shelters or situations where they risk being euthanised. With Mabel, a closer collaboration may begin, as Seydanur continues to demonstrate her deep commitment to giving animals a second chance at life.
On July 10, she found Mabel by the roadside and brought her to a nearby cat shelter. For three days, Seydanur returned every morning to provide food, water, and medication. Unfortunately, Mabel was extremely weak and underweight. On July 14, her condition worsened, prompting Seydanur to take her home for more personalised care.
Since then, Seydanur has done everything possible to help Mabel, including administering antibiotics, vitamins, and providing warmth and love. Mabel is eating, seeking affection, and clearly has the will to live, but her symptoms persist. She has a swollen belly, elevated temperature, nasal discharge, and occasional tearing from one eye.
Mabel now requires a thorough veterinary check-up, including blood tests, imaging, and any necessary further treatment. She cannot return to the streets; she deserves a real chance at health, safety, and a loving home.
