Karaoglan Wants to Live
In Istanbul, our volunteer Selma encountered a cat in dire condition. The cat was weak, disoriented, and collapsed at her feet as if he instinctively knew she could help. Selma acted quickly and took him to the vet.
The examination revealed several serious health issues. He had discharge coming from his ear, his teeth were severely decayed, and he was suffering from a significant systemic infection. Blood tests and X-rays were conducted the same day, and treatment began immediately.
Currently, he is still in intensive care. Once he regains some strength, he will require further diagnostics and a minor dental procedure to remove the most severely damaged teeth.
He has no known name or history, so we are calling him Karaoğlan for now. He may not have had anyone to care for him before, but now he has us – and, with your support, hopefully a bright future ahead.
