In Gaziantep, a city in southeastern Turkey, our project coordinator, Emine, cares for nearly 200 cats. Many of these cats are sick, injured, or abandoned and require regular food, attention, and medical treatment.

Emine looks after the animals both in her apartment and in a small outdoor cat shelter that she set up herself. She frequently takes in sick animals, arranges for their veterinary care, and supports their recovery.

Animal welfare activists in this region face significant challenges due to prevailing social attitudes toward animals.

Our goal is to support Emine in providing daily care for the cats, which includes food, medication, and veterinary costs, while also helping to ensure their long-term well-being.
