Zeynep, our dedicated project manager, is on the front lines of animal rescue in Istanbul, caring for numerous cats and dogs living on the streets. Many of these animals have been abandoned by their owners, as it is unfortunately common for purebred pets to be purchased for high prices and later discarded.
Every day, Zeynep provides food and water to the street animals, ensuring they receive the care they need. She coordinates medical treatment for sick or injured animals and arranges for neutering to prevent further suffering. Thanks to her efforts, several animals have found forever homes. Those who are too weak to survive on the streets are placed in safe boarding facilities or transferred to organisations that can provide better care, though these options come with ongoing costs.
Zeynep also rescues dogs from municipal shelters, where the conditions are dire. Many of these animals face little to no chance of survival, with some tragically dying or being euthanised.
We’re reaching out to you for support in Zeynep’s mission to care for these vulnerable animals. While she selflessly handles the expenses for her pets at home, our organisation aims to fund the care of the animals living on the streets.
