The rescuer Gülnaz about the project:

“I live in Antakya, Hatay—a region that was severely affected by the earthquake on 6 February 2023. Since then, everyday life has become even more challenging for both people and animals.

Every day, I volunteer to care for many stray cats and dogs. Some I have taken into my home, while others wait for me at the feeding spots I visit regularly. They recognise the sound of my footsteps and gather when I arrive, because in my village, most people do not care for animals; if I do not bring food, they go hungry.

My greatest wish is that these animals never have to experience hunger again. I am in urgent need of food donations to keep them fed, especially now, as prices continue to rise and the situation remains difficult after the earthquake.

Every bit of support gives these animals hope and a real chance of survival. Together, we can ensure they are not forgotten.”
