Batman Animal Rescue
News April 2026
Merivan is currently fighting for 7 cats in treatment at the same time.
One of them was hit by a car and had been left on the street for a long time before help arrived. By then, the wounds had already started to decay. Another cat developed pyometra and had to undergo emergency surgery. One cat is suffering from mastitis and is now receiving treatment for the infection. Another is being treated for severe diarrhea. One cat has herpes and calici and will need surgery. And Merivan has just taken in another cat whose diagnosis is still pending.
This is once again the reality of rescue work: multiple emergencies at once, each one requiring urgent veterinary care, medication, and constant attention. Merivan continues to do everything she can for these animals, but the costs are rising with every new case.
Please help us support Merivan so these cats can receive the treatment they urgently need and so she can continue being there for the many vulnerable animals depending on her.
The rescuer Merivan about the project:
“I am dedicated to the well-being of 30 cats. Most of them are disabled or have a history of FIP. In addition, I actively care for around 100 cats and 3 dogs living on the streets of Mersin, Türkiye.
When these vulnerable animals fall ill, I make sure they get the treatment they need. I also arrange for them to be neutered. My commitment to their welfare drives me to create a safer and healthier environment for them.”
Merivan is also deeply committed to supporting other animal rescuers and helping them arrange medical care for their rescues.
Very often, she takes in severely injured cats who would otherwise be left to their pain and fate, fighting to give them a new chance at life.
