News and updates July 2026 At Blacky Animal Rescue, the emergencies continue. Aylin is still caring for many cats who need medical treatment, neutering, surgery, or longer clinic stays. Since mid-February, many cats have been treated, neutered, and discharged after recovery. Charlie, Doblo, Feride, and Raşo Kızı were neutered. Palet was also treated for an eye injury. Sami was neutered, and an abscess above his ear had to be drained and treated. Maviş was neutered and had her severely decayed teeth extracted. Handan’s case was especially serious. She disappeared one day and returned the next day with her tail severed. The necrotic tissue had to be removed and the wound treated. Bambam was treated for a scratched retina, and Cırbağa needed care after a tick on his neck had caused a wound. During the latest clinic visit, there were several new urgent cases. Puma was scheduled for neutering. Bekri had surgery for a hip fracture and needs to stay in the clinic for around three weeks. Kirpik has a tumour behind her ear; samples were taken by an oncologist and sent to the laboratory. The results are still pending. İstihkak has severely decayed teeth and dangerously elevated kidney values after being left untreated for a long time. She is currently being treated for kidney failure. Bonus was found in the middle of the road, infested with fleas and with very poor blood values. She is now receiving intensive care. Dartanyan was treated for conjunctivitis, Bekir was neutered, and both were discharged afterwards. Aylin’s own indoor cat Metin also needed help after he had been unable to urinate or defecate for two days. Aylin has already paid off many clinic debts herself with money she earned through cat-sitting. But the next emergencies are already here. Kirpik, İstihkak, Bekri, and Bonus especially still urgently need support. Every donation helps make treatments, surgeries, neutering procedures, and clinic stays possible for the cats of Blacky Animal Rescue.
