Kocaoglan Animal Rescue
News and updates April 2026
Kocaoğlan Animal Rescue is currently facing a very difficult financial situation.
Over the past weeks, several cats needed medical care, including Mizi, Paşa and Reşo. Their treatments, clinic visits and care costs have left high debts behind. Some support for individual animals has now been taken over privately, but the open bills from past emergencies still remain.
The project leader told us that she can hardly take in any new animals at the moment because the existing debts are weighing too heavily on her. One current loan alone, taken out for animal-related costs, is around 37,000 Turkish Lira.
Right now, the main goal is to reduce the open clinic and care debts step by step, so Kocaoğlan Animal Rescue can breathe again.
Every donation helps ease this burden and makes it possible to continue caring for the animals.
Fatma is a rescuer based in Istanbul. She cares deeply for the cats around her and does not hesitate to help in urgent and complicated cases whenever a cat needs her.
The Rescuer:
“I have a deep love for all living beings, but animals are like my children. I want them to live well and happily. I adore them and long to see joy in their eyes, not sadness. I wish I could save every animal; I do my best to provide treatment to those who are sick and ensure they are fed regularly.
Please don’t let me walk this path alone, as they are all our children.”
