Small Lives Big Change
Elçin cares for abandoned, sick and injured animals living on the streets of Konya entirely on her own. The vast majority are cats, although she occasionally helps dogs as well. Many of these animals have been abandoned, abused or injured in accidents.
Elçin arranges veterinary treatment, vaccinations and spaying or neutering, provides temporary shelter and, whenever possible, finds them loving homes. Over time, she has helped more than 200 animals in this way, including approximately ten dogs.
Nine rescued cats currently live in her home and another five in her workshop. She also regularly feeds cats living on the streets. Altogether, around 25 cats currently depend on her support.
Because Elçin could not turn away injured animals even when she lacked the money to pay for their treatment, very high veterinary debts have accumulated. Some clinics can no longer accept additional animals from her until the outstanding costs are reduced.
Your donation will help gradually reduce these veterinary debts and fund essential treatment, spaying and neutering, and food. This will allow Elçin to continue helping animals that have nobody else.
