Whiskey Animal Rescue
News and updates March 2026
İlknur from Whiskey Animal Rescue has not been very active recently. The reason is that, after serious problems with her landlord, she ultimately had to move. At the same time, she has been struggling with severe health problems herself and is physically and emotionally exhausted.
Even so, she continues to care for the animals depending on her. Over the past months, major costs have built up. She still has €2,500 in outstanding clinic debt. On top of that, she urgently needs 30 kg of cat food and 20 bags of cat litter, which together cost around €333.
Casper, a cat İlknur rescued from the street and took into her care, also still needs support. He has already been examined at the clinic and brought to safety, but he now urgently needs to be neutered.
Even during this extremely difficult time, İlknur has not stopped helping animals. Now she urgently needs support herself so she can cover the clinic debt and continue caring for her cats.
The rescuer:
“Hello, my name is Ilknur, and I’m from Mersin, Turkey.
Every day, I care for stray animals — feeding them, comforting them, and doing everything I can to give them the medical attention they desperately need. The work is hard, especially when it comes to covering vet bills, surgeries, and medicines, but these animals have no one else.
Animal lovers face many challenges in Turkey: strict regulations, rising inflation, and very low wages. Despite all this, I continue to figaht for these voiceless souls.
With your support, my beloved “cat children” can be fed, spayed or neutered, and treated when they are sick or injured.
Every donation makes a difference.
Thank you for standing with us.”
