Yeşim’s Paws
Yeşim has been helping stray animals in Istanbul for 19 years. Her work focuses on regular feeding, medical treatment and providing safe accommodation for animals that cannot return to the streets immediately after treatment.
Yeşim cares for both cats and dogs. She takes injured and sick animals to different veterinary clinics and arranges boarding for them while they recover. Some animals require medical care for several months.
Her work has become increasingly difficult due to high veterinary and boarding costs. At the same time, Yeşim cares for her two young children and is currently unable to pursue regular employment. Despite these challenges, she continues her animal welfare work and does everything she can to provide the animals with food, medical care and a safe place to recover.
